Project Aquaduct Middelburg N57

The N57 between the Veersedam and Nieuw- Sint Joostland was renovated.
In the southern part of this process they built in the Walcheren Canal and under the track at Middelburg an aqueduct.
The aqueduct must ensure that traffic on the new N57 better flow, so that road and waterway users can cross each other without having to wait.

On Thursday, January 28 2010, we helped sinking the tunnel element of the aqueduct in the N57.

On Friday January 29 2010, the tunnel element in the Canal through Walcheren in Middelburg successfully scuttled at 5.10 am. The concrete tank, which weighs twenty million pounds, was a temporary floating dock built and drawn to its location. The pull down of the tunnel has lasted more than ten hours.
The tunnel section is the lower part of the aqueduct, wherewithal the new N57 under the canal through Walcheren is headed.
